경기도 용인시 모현면 동림리에 위치한 마가미술관은 1998년 섬유미술 및 판화 전문 미술관으로 개관하였습니다.
홍익대학교 명예 교수이신 송번수 관장님이 1984년 작가의 스튜디오를 설립하는데서 출발한 마가미술관은 1997년 200여 평을 증축하여 기존의 스튜디오 이외에 타피스트리실, 미술관 등의 공간을 마련하여 1998년 9월 마가미술관이라는 이름으로 새롭게 문을 열었습니다.
마가미술관은 다양한 교육프로그램을 통한 문화적 감수성을 일깨워 주고 풍요로운 삶의 질을 향상시키는데 도움이 되고자 하며 다양한 분야의 예술가들에게 다수의 기획 전시를 통해 자신의 창조적 역량을 선보일 수 있는 무대를 마련해 주고자 합니다.
전시회는 상설전과 특별기획전으로 나뉘어 상설전에서는 마가미술관 소장품의 특징인 타피스트리(Tapestry)와 판화분야를 전시하고 있으며, 연중 1~2회에 걸쳐 마련되는 특별전은 회화, 조각, 공예, 영상, 설치 등 장르를 국한시키지 않는 현대 미술의 다양한 분야를 소개하고자 합니다.

The Maga Art Museum, located in DongLim Ri, Mohyun Myun, Youngin City, Gyunggi Do, was opened in 1998 for specializing in the art fabric and print making.
Beginning as a present art fabric and print making artist's own studio in 1984, the Maga Art Museum made a fresh start in September 1998 after building new places like Tapestry room and Museum other than the existing studio, by expanding space of 7117 ft² in 1997.
Maga Art Museum aspires to awakening of the cultural sensitivity which improves the quality of life, and also setting a stage for various artists showing their creative abilities.
The exhibition is divided into permanent exhibit and special exhibit. The permanent exhibition exhibits Tapestry and Print making which are specially characteristic of Maga. The special exhibition, opens once or twice a year, introduces paintings, sculptures, crafts, media, installation art and the like, a wide variety of the contemporary art.
